Ashley & Adam are two of the most fun clients that we’ve ever gotten to DJ for! They are very good with friends with some of our favorite wedding coordinators with C&D Events which is always a little extra special.

We welcomed the bride and groom into the reception after the cocktail hour and moved quickly into shortened versions of the first dance, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. Adam & Ashley made it a priority to accentuate dancing and fun at their reception so having those dances right away helped us move quickly after dinner by the amazing Catering Works.

The toasts by the Best Man and Maid of Honor were fun and very touching and you’ll love the photos below by Morgan Caddell Photography. We got Ashely & Adam and their guests up and dancing for a solid 2 1/2 hours which is exactly what they hoped for!

Laura & Blair’s Wedding at The Cotton Room in Durham, NC

Today we’re taking a look back at Laura & Blair classic southern fall wedding sprinkled with gold magnolia leaves. This couple let their unique style come through in every little detail on their wedding day and everything came together amazingly. Laura and her team of bridesmaids made the gold magnolia backdrop for their wedding ceremony. The groom is a musician and Laura’s entrance song was his own version of Canon in D…wow! Make sure you scroll through all of the photos below because it got a little out of control when I called Laura and Blair up and let them take over the turntables!

Venue: The Cotton Room is a true Durham original with exposed brick, lots of sunlight and wood floors but what truly makes this venue top-notch is the incredible staff.

Florist: Only Tre Bella could capture the bride and groom’s exact style in flowers. We are lucky to work with Tre Bella a lot and they always impress.

Wedding Cake: Miel Bon Bons artistically captured Laura and Blair truly unique style with the delicious and beautiful wedding cake.

Catering: Triangle Catering provided an amazing in-house experience worthy of the amazing day.

Kathleen & Darren’s Wedding at Jiddi Space & Courtyard in Raleigh, NC

December 19, 2023

Darren and Kathleen were married in downtown Raleigh at Jiddi Space and Courtyard. The courtyard served as the location for the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing. The processional for the ceremony was ‘I Can’t Help Falling in Love’ by Daniel Jang and recessional was ‘This Will Be’ by Natalie Cole. After the ceremony and cocktail hour outside in the courtyard dinner, toasts, and the cake cutting were inside. For the cocktail hour, the clients chose a great mix with the likes of Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald. The music for dinner was more contemporary music with Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. Immediately after dinner, their first dance was to ‘L.O.V.E.’ by Nat King Cole and then DJ Michael got dance floor hopping right away. The dance floor stayed full all night and it was such a fun wedding to be a part of. They ended the night by with all of their guests circled around them with ‘Country Roads’ by John Denver setting the tone for a great end of the evening!

We were so incredibly lucky to be a part of Liz & Trey’s wedding at Market Hall! We got to know Elizabeth and Trey and their wonderful family over about a year. It was obvious very quickly that this wedding was going to a fun family affair. We even got to provide this amazing group of people with uplighting at Market Hall too!

The evening started with a spirited grand entrance to ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ by Justin Timberlake which really got the multi-generational crowd pumped up. We went straight into dinner with a welcome and blessing by Elizabeth’s Dad. After a wonderful and relaxing dinner, we moved onto Trey & Elizabeth’s First Dance, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dances followed by toasts on the timeless vintage mic. The newlyweds then moved onto the Cake Cutting of their beautiful cake done by Ashley Cakes.

The party that followed was epic! We opened up the dancing with the Palestinian heritage Dabke Wedding Dance which is always fun for everyone. The dance floor didn’t stop rocking for even one moment! Check out the pics below from Radian Photography.

The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve Wedding for Dale & Jake

Like many of our clients, Dale & Jake live out of state so we planned everything electronically. We have so much experience with this now that the process is pretty well refined and everything went off without a hitch! Working with a wonderful planner like Amy at Knots ‘n Such always helps a ton too. Dale & Jake chose The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve for their wedding venue. This venue is BRAND NEW and STUNNING. This was only the second event their but you wouldn’t have guessed it because the whole amazing staff was prepared for everything and ready to help at a moment’s notice. The rain may have been relentless and cold but these clients and their guests were so good-spirited, fun and ready to celebrate that it didn’t even matter. They had a wonderful ceremony inside the larger wedding space and then everyone came next door to The Green Room to dance and celebrate the second half of the night. To start their reception, we brought the bridal party in to “Fire and the Flood” by Vance Joy. Their guests were excited, loud and clearly ready to rock! The amazing dinner by Fresh.Local.Good Food Group followed and then immediately after that we did the cake cutting and toasts. After toasts (really fun toasts btw!), we all watched as Dale & Jake had their first dance to “Ocean’s Away” by Arizona which was followed by “Stand by Me” by Ben E King for the Mother/Daughter Dance and the Mother/Son Dance to “She’s Always a Woman’ by Billy Joel.” Now, we should say that all wedding parent dances are special but the song Jake chose for his Mom’s dance was a surprise to her and she cried on her son’s shoulder for the whole dance….we had to look away! At first Dale and Jake were going to give us playlists for dancing but after some thought, they decided that wanted to give us complete freedom to choose the music. We do appreciate the trust y’all! Turns out that we got to throw this amazing couple one of the most amazing parties ever with a packed dance floor for two solid hours which was capped off with the very fun ‘Inspector Norse’ by Todd Terje. Tiffany & Chris’s Superstar Wedding at Renaissance North Hills!

November 16, 2022

Tiffany & Chris were married at Jones Chapel at Meredith College and their reception was at Renaissance North Hills Hotel in Raleigh, NC on May 23rd, 2015 on an absolutely beautiful North Carolina day. Tiffany & Chris were amazing clients to get to know during our many ‘meetings’at Tyler’s Taproom at Seaboard Station. They wanted an absolute blow out party after all the formalities were done and that’s what they got! We had a packed dance floor from start to finish and snuck in some amazing old-school tracks that blew the top off the venue but the song of the night had to be ‘The Man’ by Aloe Blacc! Thanks for being such amazing clients.
