Sometimes your clients are just FUN! Janae & Greg had an amazingly fun wedding celebration at The Barn of Chapel Hill and we were so lucky to be a part of one super cool wedding. Janae & Greg loved being involved with the music selection and it showed with tons of fun, party music. Their wedding ceremony was special and touching with tons of personal touches in the vows. The amazing team of wedding coordinators with Magnolia Grove made sure it looked fabulous with perfect a perfect color scheme. Janae & Greg definitely weren’t afraid to let their personalities show throughout the night with the ‘Make it Rain’ surprise…watch the video!

After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed the perfect weather on The Barn of Chapel Hill’s perfect porch. We brought everyone in then we announced the bridesmaids to ‘That’s My Girl’ by Fifth Harmony, the groomsmen to ‘Let’s Get it Started’ by Black Eyed Peas and then Janae & Greg to ‘Best I Ever Had’ by Drake. Talk about setting the tone for the night! Onto the super romantic first dance and always special Father/Daughter then Mother/Son Dance. Then came the toasts and they were very entertaining! Greg & Janae then did a quick, unannounced cake cutting which led to an immediately full and spirited dance floor party.

This wedding was truly timeless and memorable and we hope Greg, Janae and their friends and family remember it fondly forever!

When your clients produce movies and TV shows you know you are going to have a blast! Grace & Kevin live and work in New York, NY but wanted a classic Fall wedding complete with ‘the barn’ and loads of autumn colors and that is exactly what they got with their spectacular wedding at Carolina Grove in Chapel Hill, NC. It was truly an amazing day and we are so happy that their wedding was everything they hoped for!

Thanks to our friends at Harmony Weddings & Events, everything at this highly produced wedding went off so smoothly. From the custom microphone setup for their wedding vows to the surprise (LIVE) trumpet recessional, everything was even more unique and custom than most weddings.

Jamie Vinson and her professional team of photographers did an amazing job capturing the true soul of this movie script wedding and you are going to love the photos below. We were also lucky enough to work with Mike from Steeple Films who worked extra hard to make the amazing wedding film you can watch below. Welcome to a wonderful couple’s wonderful wedding! Sometimes we get to DJ weddings that seem just perfect for the clients in every way. This was definitely one of them! Rachel & Will’s family and very close friends got to celebrate a wonderful day with them at one very GORGEOUS wedding venue called Lavender Oaks Farm in Chapel Hill, NC. The wedding day was upbeat, classy, family oriented and very, very fun! Check out the photos from our friends with Azul Photography (<–The best btw) below. Pay special attention to the fifth and sixth photos down there and see if you can guess what happened during the Grand Entrance. One thing that Rachel & Will did that we think more couples should do is the private last dance of the night when all of their guests were out getting ready for the sparkler exit … even us after firing up ‘Speechless’ by Dan + Shay. It was a really spectacular wedding with an amazing vendor team for an amazing couple that had the night of their lives. We can’t to see Rachel & Will at future local weddings!

We had the pleasure of being a part of Jonathan and Whitney’s big day at Market Hall in Raleigh, NC! The ceremony was incredible, filled with heartfelt tunes and led by Whitney’s brother, Jordan Haywood. Everyone in the room could feel the love that the couple had for one another through their heartfelt vows. The grand entrance that followed the ceremony set the tone for the evening as the bridal party and newlyweds made a spectacular entrance to songs by Saweetie and Heavy D & The Boyz. After a touching blessing and introduction by the father of the bride, the guests enjoyed a delicious dinner and listened to toasts by the couples’ Maid or Honor and Best Man, shining some light on how perfect the two are for each other. The dancing was no less lively than the grand entrance where everyone, including the DJ, danced the night away to an electrifying mix of oldies and hip-hop hits. As the clock neared its end, the couple bid farewell to their guests amidst a shower of sparklers, leaving behind beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. It was a privilege to be a part of such a magical celebration, and we can’t wait to create more cherished moments for our future couples!

We had the awesome pleasure of being a part of Kristiana & Teno’s very fun and very multicultural wedding at The Fair Barn in Pinehurst, NC! They were trusting with us for their music playlist and we had a ton of fun crafting the playlist for the and their guests. We don’t get to do the Snake Dance (aka Vibora de la Mar) too often and the whole wedding vendor team came to watch.

The day started off with their wedding ceremony at The Village Arboretum which was right down the road from The Fair Barn. What a pretty and private ceremony site!

We played a fun cocktail hour playlist that spanned tons of genres, ethnicities and decades. After the cocktail hour, we introduced the bridal party to ‘I’m on Top of pthe World’ by Imagine Dragons which was a GREAT choice. After some entertaining toasts ,which got a lot of laughs, the bride and groom had their First Dance followed by the Father Daughter and Mother Son dances. We opened the dance floor after the Cake Cutting and the dance floor was packed for the next THREE HOURS! What a seriously fun group of people we got to spend a fun evening with. The playlist was about 50% classic American wedding music and 50% classic Mexican and new Latino hits.

Melrose Knitting Mill Wedding for Katy and Zach in Raleigh, NC

Now, this was one amazing wedding! Katy & Zach’s Mom contacting us about two months prior to the wedding because they were having troubles with the DJ they had contracted with originally. Luckily, we had the date available and DJ Eric took charge and got to DJ for this amazing couple and all of their family and friends. Melrose Knitting Mill is one of the area’s premier wedding venue. Not only is it gorgeous but the amazing coordinators with Southern Oak Events really helped make the day smooth for us and fun for the clients. Zach & Katy made it known from step one that ‘the party’ part of their wedding was incredibly important. They wanted as much time on the dance floor as possible so we took care of all of the formalities early in the schedule so we could pack the dance floor for a few hours of nonstop dancing. We were incredibly lucky to work with Melissa Desjardins Photography who was unbelievably fun and easy to work with and also provided us with her incredibly good photos. In fact, she took so many great shots that we had to splurge and post much more than usual. Make sure you check out her work below! Our vintage mic looks great in any venue but it looked particularly great at Katy & Zach’s wedding.

Natalie & Evan are so full of personality that we just knew their wedding was going to be one for the ages! Add in the location at The Barn of Chapel Hill with an amazing team of vendors and it was just over the top fun the whole night.

The night started off with a cocktail hour full of drinks, great music and lawn games. After we got everyone seated we brought in the bridal party and then Natalie & Evan to a loud and crazy welcome from their family and friends. The newlyweds First Dance was to ‘Lifetime’ by Justin Bieber and then we moved into a perfect dinner served by Rock Top Catering. After a somewhat low-key cake cutting we had some very funny and special toasts which led smoothly into Natalie’s Father/Daughter Dance and Evan’s Mother/Son Dance. Everyone surprised Natalie and Evan with a FLASH MOB led by Natalie’s Mom and family which was an absolute hit and they loved it! Then things got a little crazy and the dancing didn’t stop or even slow down for hours. What a memorable and amazing night courtesy of some great clients.
