Sometimes clients hire us only a few weeks before their event and sometimes they reach out to us very early in the process. Ashley & Patrick hired us almost a year before their wedding because they REALLY wanted to have an amazing wedding reception that flowed smoothly and was a blast for all age groups on their wedding day…and they got it!
Ashley & Patrick’s had their small town feeling wedding reception out at the lovely Cross + Main in Youngsville, NC. They did their staged photos with Veritas Digital Photography out on Main Street with all of the quaint small town signs and storefronts. Then they moved inside for the reception.
The buffet by Rocky Top Catering was amazing, of course! Ashley and Patrick have very diverse musical tastes. The Grand Entrance was to ‘Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars then we shifted into the first dance which was to the lovely tune ‘Unchained Melody’ by Elvis Presley with the Mother/Son and Father/Daughter dances to ‘My Wish’ by Rascal Flatts and ‘I Loved Her First’ by Heartland respectively.
There were two things that really made this wedding unique: they made it very clear to us that it was important to incorporate their older guests into the wedding dancing so played a lot of fun older dance tunes, but after all IT IS a wedding, so things got a little out rowdy as the night went on. Also the toasts from Ashely sister, who was her Maid of Honor and Patrick’s Best Man were AMAZING! We’ve got some great shots on our trademark vintage microphone (which we made wireless!) in the photos below.

Kara & Bryant’s Wedding at The Cloth Mill by Chelsea Collins Photography All Around Raleigh DJ
Kara & Bryant got married in style at The Cloth Mill at Eno River! Their original wedding date lined up with Hurricane Florence so the amazing team of Kristin and Stephanie with Viva L’Event pulled the wedding vendor team listed below together and got a new date set up within a few days of the original date. We couldn’t be more proud to work with the team below to overcome a lot of craziness to throw Kara & Bryant a spectacular wedding. A special shout out to Chelsea Collins Photography and Jon Warlick Media for the great photos and videos, respectively, below.
Join us in congratulating this amazing couple and wishing them the very best!

We’re back with another amazing wedding that we got to DJ for! It was all smiles at Stephanie & Daniel’s wedding at 305 Trackside and we’re so glad to have been able to provide the music for their day. We’re too excited to share some of our favorite images of their wedding by Jennifer B Photography!
The night opened up with some light acoustic music for the cocktail hour which allowed everyone to catch up and have a few drinks as the newlyweds took photos with their bridal party and family. We brought everyone in to the reception area and then introduced the parents and bridal party to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder but changed it up to, one of our favorites, “Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone to introduce the Bride & Groom. Stephanie’s Dad said a very nice welcome speech then Daniel’s Dad said a blessing to open up dinner. Dinner was served with Motown, oldies, light, upbeat, classic soul and jazz gave the occasion a timeless touch, allowing guests to share memories and enjoy the delicious cuisine from 39 West Catering.
After beautiful toasts from the Bride’s brother and then the Best Man, the newlyweds took the dance floor to share their first dance as a married couple to “Baby, I Need Your Loving” by The Four Tops. Stephanie and her Dad then danced their Father/Daughter Dance to an instrumental version of “Perfect” by Ed Sheehan followed by the Mother/Son Dance to “Wonder of You” by Elvis . We opened up the dance floor with the Anniversary Dance and it was immediately clear that Stephanie and Daniel’s guests came to celebrate! We happily obliged and had a really great night of dancing and celebrating this amazing couple.
Stephanie and Daniel designed their timeline to maximize time spent on the dance floor, and I’m really glad they did! Their friends and family kept dancing the entire time, all the way up to the last song of the evening, “Hooked on a Feeling” by Blue Swede. It was a fitting song to capture the mood of pure joy and celebration of this wonderful couple’s wedding. The night ended with a very fun sparkler exit. Congratulations and best wishes, Stephanie and Daniel!

Gin & Perry had the most amazing, blow-out, party wedding of their dreams at Belt Line Station! This was one wild and fun wedding and we got to supply the playlist for a very memorable night. Please check out the amazing work by Ariel Kaitlin Photography below.
To start their cocktail hour and set the tone, Gin & Perry wanted some 80’s music, blues and some great rock classics. We brought them into their reception to 24K Magic by Bruno Mars and it just about brought the venue down! Gin & Perry chose ‘Let’s Stay Together’ by Al Green for their first dance as a married couple. The dinner playlist was a really fun playlist of James Taylor, Leon Bridges, Ray LaMontagne, Lauryn Hill, Michael Buble and more. When dinner was just about finished, Gin & Perry played The Shoe Game to throw even more fun into the night. We opened up the dance floor after toasts and it was packed immediately and stayed that way all night long. This was a really, really fun wedding and Gin & Perry had a lot of fun planning their day and we had a great time working with them.
